Personal Statement

Graduated with Master of Science Degree in Sustainable and Environmental Design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London in 2020, and attained the Bachelors of Architecture from the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in 2015, with several years of professional practice in an architectural consultancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Through my experience, I developed a designing keen interest with a focus on details as every aspect in the spaces we create impacts our living quality. I believe in consciously designing every project with regards to its environmental, urban and social impact on its surroundings. Moreover, designing sustainably improves the efficiency of the building and the welfare of its inhabitants.

As a child I was always fascinated by the details in historical building and I believed each space had a story to tell. Starting with my grandparent’s apartment, nestled in the city of Alexandria, Egypt, that was built in the 1870s by my Great Grandfather, from the childhood stories that it holds to the preservation of the building was enough inspiration to make me become passionate about architecture and having a drive to become an architect with a purpose of sustainability.
